METROsquash Mission
Our mission is to use squash, academics, cultural enrichment, mentoring and community service to help Chicago Public School students realize their full academic, athletic and personal potential.Recent Results
METROsquash is nearing the end of its 8th season and will have its first graduating, college bound class of seniors enrolling in top colleges across the country in the fall of 2013. METROsquash has proven that programming provides transformative results for Chicago Public School students, with 100% high school graduation rate and 100% college acceptance rate to four year colleges and universities. All 12 METROsquash 8th grade students are headed to their best-matched high schools, including one student who will be enrolling at the Cate School in California this fall. To date, METROsquash has helped place over 60 students in their best matched high schools, including six boarding schools, both locally and nationally. Every dollar that has been raised by METROsquash has been matched two to one with scholarship dollars raised, collectively helping students access of $1,500,000 towards squash and academic opportunities.
