METROsquash students engage in equal parts squash and academic instruction three days a week after school. In addition, the program provides one-on-one mentoring and weekend activities including squash competitions, community service projects and cultural trips.

METROsquash draws from 5th through 7th grade students from three Chicago Public Schools – Kozminski, Reavis and Price. Students will have four years in the program before entering High School. In doing so, METRO will have a significant impact academically and develop squash skills at a formative age. One of METROsquash’s primary goals is to provide students with the skills, support and knowledge they need to enter top local and out of state high schools.

Our long term plans include the formation of a High School Program and the construction of a facility with squash courts, classrooms and office space that will serve over 200 students and their families for generations.
