David KayDavid Kay,
Executive Director

David came to Chicago in June of 2005 from the University of Rochester where he was Men's Squash Coach and MBA student. Previously he was Head Squash Pro at the Union Club of Manhattan. He was team Captain and All-American at Princeton University and competed on the professional men's doubles tour (ISDA), achieving a career high rank of #2. As Executive Director, David serves on the METROsquash Board of Directors.

Cydni PolkCydni Polk,

Born and Raised in Chicago, Cydni is an alumna of Chicago Public Schools. Since graduating from Stillman College with honors she has completed her masters in Non-Profit Management with a concentration in fundraising. She has extensive work experience with the Huntington Learning Center and the James Jordan Boys and Girls Club of Chicago. Cydni has devoted her life to youth development, and is a published author.

Max LavertyMax Laverty,
Squash Director

Max joined METROsquash after graduating from Denison University in 2007 where he served for an unprecedented three years as president and captain of the squash team. In his four years at Denison, the squash team won the College Squash Association's Summers Division national championship twice (2004, 2006). Max was also a three time recipient of Denison squash's highest honor: the Hoyt Award, which is awarded to the person who does the most to advance squash at Denison during the year. Max was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where he learned to play squash at the Heights Casino.

The newest addition to the staff of METROsquash, Sten graduated from Northwestern University in the spring of 2008 with a major in American History and a minor in Creative Writing. He joins METROsquash through a fellowship with the Northwestern University Public Interest Program. Before moving to Chicago for college, Sten moved with his family from Texas, where he was born, to Japan and, finally, Minnesota.
