MetroSquash’s athletic program combines the expertise of squash professionals, fitness experts and volunteers to provide best-in-class instruction for students.

Sessions focus on improving students’ technical squash skills, match play ability, and fitness level.

Through the sport of squash students learn the important lessons of goal setting, discipline, and teamwork.

What is Squash?

  • Squash is an indoor racquet sport, similar to racquetball, played one against one.
  • The ball is played off the ground and walls, making it a very dynamic sport.

Squash/Fitness Programming

  • Per week students are given at least three hours of squash instruction
  • Students are also expected to participate in cross-training fitness during practice
  • Students attend various competitive opportunities around Chicagoland and across the U.S.
  • In the summer, students are offered programming at MetroSquash or at camps around the country
  • MetroSquash is an enthusiastic participant of SEA (Squash and Education Alliance) events throughout the year.
